Visakha's midfielder Thierry Chantha Bin shows off his ideas about new league system challenging (2022 Cambodian Premier League) with top 8 teams.
"2022 League Will be a good and quality league. because only top team will play even though is less game. So it will be harder to be champion. Each team recruited good players. Cambodia league attract many quality foreigners now," the 30-year-old playmaker stated.
2022 CPL are set to start on March 5 with playing three rounds of 8 teams. And after that, the final top 4 will be required to play more 2 rounds for championship. Making that decision was suggested by new league CEO Satoshi Saito and final approvement by FFC President H.E. Sao Sokha.
Thierry comments on his team ahead of new challenges ," we start new season with new coach but we have the same goal. We work to fight for every title and win them."
In his football career, Khmer-french player lifted Cambodian League two times with Phnom Penh Crown and one Hun Sen Cup with Visakha last year.
Thierry started his youth football career with RC Strasbourg playing Ligue 1 of France currently. And then his journey with ASEAN Clubs has been so far. Phnom Penh Crown is the first club he joined in 2012 before making a move to Krabi of Thailand in 2017. At the same year, he was a loanee to Cambodian side Electricite du Cambodge. His performance was on the peak when Terengganu hired him in 2018 and 2019. Later, Sukhothai of Thailand and Perak of Malaysia were added into his play records in 2020 before being a Visakha's squad member in 2021.
